Rachel, I too, love the surprise lilies. I call them spider lilies sometimes, and I have also heard them called British Soldier lilies. They are naturalized in sweet little pockets all over Hot Springs. When they bloom, it is my harbinger of Late Summer. It puts me in the right mood for the season and all the fleeting awesomeness it beholds.
