Painted Mountain

Most likely the prettiest crop to leap from the garden this year:
Painted Mountain flour corn.
Feast your eyes....

  2. Beautiful! That ear that has some striations in it is especially gorgeous.

  5. Greenthumb- This is my first year growing this variety. I nibbled a bit raw, and it is very sweet but starchy. Best dried and ground into flour, (currently in the process of drying) or it can be used as an ornamental.

  6. That is the stuff dreams are made of. Seriously. I have actually daydreamed about those pictures the past couple days. Real nice...I am hoping to be able to post photos of my bloody butcher corn one of these days soon, if the damn coons don't get it all first!
